Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Nifty-Chores (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use our websites, apps, and related services (the “Service”). The organization responsible for data on a given deployment is the person or company operating that instance (for example the domain you see in your browser).

Information we process

We process information you and your household provide or generate when using the Service, such as account details (for example email address and display name), household membership, rooms and places, chore templates and assignments, completion history, rewards and points, optional habits and challenges, billing-related identifiers when you subscribe, and messages or content you enter into the product. We also process limited technical data needed to run the Service, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and diagnostic logs, consistent with how web applications normally operate.

Authentication and social sign-in

If you sign in with a provider such as Google, Apple, or Facebook, that provider may share basic profile information with our authentication backend according to your settings with them (for example name, email address, and profile image). We use this to create and secure your account. You should review each provider’s privacy policy for how they handle your data.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives and processes payment details and billing information needed to complete transactions and manage subscriptions. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers; Stripe’s terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.

Optional Google Calendar connection

If you connect Google Calendar, we request access only as described in the product (for example read-only access to show events in your household calendar). Data from Google is used only to provide that feature and is handled in line with Google’s user data policies and your Google account settings. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising.

How Google user data is shared, transferred, or disclosed

We only share, transfer, or disclose Google user data in the following limited cases: • With service providers that operate the Service on our behalf, such as Supabase (auth/database), hosting infrastructure providers, and logging/monitoring vendors, and only as needed to provide the requested calendar feature. • Within your household context in the product (for example showing event details to members you invite and authorize in your shared household workspace). • If required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request. • As part of a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, or asset sale, subject to confidentiality and lawful safeguards. • With your explicit direction or consent. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to providing or improving user-facing features of the Service.

Service providers, storage, and transfers

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers to host the Service and store data. In typical deployments this includes Supabase (authentication and database) and may include email delivery, analytics, or hosting vendors depending on configuration. Data may be stored or processed in countries where those providers operate. We use contracts and security measures appropriate to the risk where required by law.

Retention, security, and your choices

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data; no method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Parents or guardians control household accounts for children; do not collect unnecessary personal data from minors in profiles. We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date.
